THE EAGLETS NOW WEIGHT BETWEEN 7 - 15 LBS, MALES AVG. 7-10 LBS, FEMALES 8-15 LBS WINGSPANS APPROACHING 6' IN MALES, UP TO 8' IN FEMALES. THE HOPPING AND wingercizing YOU'LL SEE, IS TO BUILD STRENGTH IN THEIR WINGS, LEGS AND TALONS. SOON WE'LL SEE BRANCHING AND HOVERING !  THEY GET THE FEELING FOR FLYING/LANDING

THEY MUST BE AT LEAST 70 DAYS OLD, BEFORE THEY CAN FLEDGE. (FLY)

 INCUBATION WAS BETWEEN FEB. 27 & MAR. 06. 

THE HATCH WAS BETWEEN APR. 2 AND APR. 8. 

OLDEST EAGLET IS ABOUT 59 DAYS OLD, YOUNGEST ABOUT 57 DAYS OLD

Observations are done on Mondays as long as the visibility is good, if not then on Tuesday, no good, Wednesday. I get there between 11 and 12 noon and stay about 2-3 hours. If you are planning to come out, let me know, I'll wait for you !!!!  FYI -  If you come out to observe the eagles you'll need binoculars w/16x or a 800mm zoom as the nest is 1/3 mile away.
